What the meaning of "Side Better"??

Hi there, hopefully the following shall clarify a few things:

Yes the side batter does affect the cut\fill, if you create a platform and adjust the side batter ratio you will see the cut\fill estimation change in real-time.
Equally if you select just the "Cut" Mode then the side batter will only be added when the element's boundary is below ground level (or other elements).
Conversely if you select just the "Fill" Mode then the side batter will only be added when the element boundary is above ground level (or other elements).

The proposed element boundary is joined to the ground by side slopes.
The side batter (set as a ratio of vertical to horizontal) dictates the angle of these slopes. Turning side batter off will result in the element being joined to
the ground with vertical sides

The ratio's can be set differently for cut slopes and fill slopes, this would be helpful if you are cutting from a hard material that can hold a steep batter but
the filling material is less stable so requires a gentler side slope.
