I did a quick search but did not find any information on what features the next update will include. Also is there an area where you can vote on future suggested features?

I am utilizing the region volume measurement tool and I am having an issue with the calculation and exporting quantities. What I get in the Spreadsheet export is "Failed to generate break-down by region: Failed validation of areas after clipping mesh to region."

I have not had this issue before.

Net volume earthworks/embankments closest to 0
Posted by: Piotr Duda - 03-23-2021, 10:03 AM - Replies (1)

Is it possible in Kubla Cubed to connect "zero" level of the building with roads?

For example I have production hall with hughe surface:
I set zero level of the building ->100 masl and I addapted/connected to "zero" level all roads and parkings around the hall.
After this operation turns out that proposed zero level is not optimal (fe I have to transport embankment material form outside and this is expensive) than Im trying to change "zero level" of the building to make balance closetst to zero. For hall its simple but for roads i have to change all points manually. Is it possible to make some function working like this when ill change zero level fe +1m (101 masl) all roads on the drawing will also change this 1 m?

  Failed to Generate Calculation Mesh
Posted by: chrisaguilar - 02-12-2021, 05:01 PM - Replies (1)

Hi,

I have had success with the program and on a current file I am working on I am getting an error of Failed to generate calculation mesh. At this current time I only have three layers and the third layer only has feature elevations with the outline. It appears it is the outline that is causing the issue, but I have not been able to figure out the correction. It shows the orange box in a specific area, but none of the modifications I have made helped with the process of clearing the error.

  Elevation filter

Please can an elevation filter option be added to the software for when importing information from files. i.e. to be able to ignore all points/lines etc. with an elevation of 0 or above X can save a lot of time manually finding and editing these points after importing. Thanks

  Original and Progress Topo
Posted by: markovicb1 - 12-18-2020, 09:28 PM - Replies (4)

Hi,

I am using, getting used to rather, Kubla Cubed 2019 Pro.  I have a 36AC plot of land.  Original data of the land was obtained by manually shooting coordinates.  I have approximately 1200 points in the original topo.  Work started to mine the dirt material for embankment construction of a levee.  Since work started, a drone survey was completed of the area to obtain progress volumes.  This is my question:

I will use the software to build the progress survey using a compressed drone fine of approximately 6000 points.
I will use the original data, approximately 1200 points, to build the original surface.
When I use the "feature surface" option to create these two surfaces and calculate the volume of excavation, does the software only triangulate between the 1200 points in the original survey?  I'm concerned that I might not be capturing all of the features of land that are present at the site.

I hope the above makes sense to you professionals.  I'm just getting started with this but would love to keep going as the benefit is immense.

Than you for your help.

Bo
